Film shown, "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl". The new Italian localization for the film, presented as Pirati dei Caraibi: La Maledizione della Prima Luna.

The Disney series, "Kiff", has never released in Germany or Austria, due to the titular characters name being slang for smoking weed. Despite this, the show has an official German translation, presented as Liff & Barry. Alongside this, some episodes have been subtitled in German.
16.06.2025 23:45 β π 4 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0As time progresses, older localizations are slowly lost to time, and go unarchived by the parent companies. When rereleased, occasionally a new localization is provided, either from the company themselves, or made by a VOD service or television channel. Below is an example from "A Goofy Movie".
16.06.2025 20:39 β π 12 π 3 π¬ 0 π 0Did you watch it in theaters, home media, or digital? The localization was only seen in theaters and certain region-specific digital platforms.
16.06.2025 05:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Shown, Italian release of "Shark Tale", same title as English original. Features a much more simplified title card, like the other localizations, and unlike the English original, despite retaining the original title.
This, however, has a weird countereffect. In languages where the title is the same as English, example below being Italian, they still use a more simplified title card over the original release!
15.06.2025 22:30 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Sometimes in localizations, visual sacrifices have to be made. An example of one is Shark Tale. The original English title card is fully animated, breaking away as fish swim by. In other languages, however, the title card is lazily slapped on, and flies away.
15.06.2025 22:30 β π 8 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0In "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish", Puss' initial is carved out throughout the film. In other regions, however, they are changed to fit his name changes! Below is an example of such, and the common territories they appear in.
