That Friendship movie was great. I knew I’d enjoy it, but I didn’t think it be THAT good. It was.

I hope the Switch 2 adds anti-aliasing.

Finally beat Bloodborne. Definitely the best of the FromSoftware games I've played so far. Better than DS1 and 2 in pretty much every way in my opinion. In particular I loved the fast-paced combat and the detailed world design. Even at 1080p30fps the game looks good. Though, it could look better...

Synchronized talk-alongs to every meme from the trailer followed by applause every 10 minutes or so up to the Chicken Jockey clip which was preceded by deafening silence and followed by absolute chaos. By the end I swear people were clapping after every sentence. A once in a lifetime experience.

When the advertisement for the McDonalds Minecraft meal was met with thunderous applause from the theatre, I knew that I was in for a good time.

Having now seen some Nintendo Treehouse footage of the game, I think it looks awesome. The character animations and UI really stand out to me.

Probably multiple. Those games aren’t cheap.

I will upload a video before the Nintendo Switch 2 releases. Affording it is my incentive.

The Switch 2 announcements have got me giddy right before bed.

Bloodborne 2 on switch?

I’m so grateful that Nintendo’s calling it the Switch 2. It’s such a minor thing, but if it was SwitchU, 3DSwitch, New Nintendo Switch XL or anything like that, it would be such a bummer.

This is probably the closest there will ever be to a really good animated Zelda movie.

I saw Princess Mononoke on IMAX last night. I liked it even better than the first time I saw it. The audience was captivated: During the silent moments, the whole theatre was dead silent. Except for the one time I put my drink down a little clumsily. Fantastic film. Please watch it.

I thought it was slow and dull with some interesting ideas, right up to the chapter where the story pauses to just summarize everything and explain how it all works. But the book got a lot more interesting after said chapter and had a pretty great ending.

Bloodborne is 10!

I recently organized everything in Drive and it's a much nicer interface. Not sure why Docs doesn't just do that on its own site

I think Bluesky needs to steal whatever algorithm Twitter's been using to recommend me cool dragon art. I muted everything else on there, so it's all that I see. It's incredible.

Reverb when recording used to be such a pain. I found the best work around to be recording from within a pocket universe where I’ve artificially set the speed of sound to be a close to the speed of light as possible. Works wonders for the clarity.

New game idea: Online co-op roguelike with horror elements. I think this could be it.

You’ll have to watch the same 10 old previews every time you play the game and if your disc is scratched it’ll freeze and force you to skip large chunks of the story.

Games like FNAF used these effects to twist 90s nostalgia into something scary, but a lot of these games are over a decade old now and are nostalgic for people who played the games as a kid. The combination has gone from being a subversion of something nostalgic to being viewed as nostalgic itself.

It’s funny to see modern indie horror games that try to emulate the vhs look but are clearly made by people unfamiliar with the technology. I saw a game where the death screen was the blue vcr menu but with a “404 NOT FOUND” error.

They were right! Rain does have a smell, and it’s pleasant.

Discovered that having my OBS settings at 4K30 30crf not only looks better and is easier to read than 1080p30 8000vbr but for a recording of still screen has a lower file size.
Footage in my videos is about to start looking a whole lot nicer!

Any resources you'd recommend so far? Been trying to learn for some time but I lack direction and keep getting frustrated by all of the vibes-based explanations that do not resonate with me. I'm constantly doing deep-dives to get a straight answer.
