I've been thinking so much about Ireland during the ICE siege here in Minnesota and David, as always, puts on paper what for me was just a sort of inchoate blob of feelings. Terrific piece.

I grew up listening to Irish music in the back of my parent's car - every other song is a rebel song or a lament over what was taken away from them. If you remove the politics, you remove the entire core of it.
