It's nice that they're finally realizing they need to be prepared for these people to lie straight to their faces

Judge Emil Bove Faces Ethics Complaint for Attending Trump Rally

When I was a judicial law clerk in Montana, Pres Bush flew into the Billings airport for a rally.

I wanted to see Air Force One and asked the judge I clerked for if I could go. He said no, that it wouldn’t be appropriate.

And I was just a clerk. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/10/u...

An insane political move. One of the recurring complaints about immigration in the U.S. is that those seeking asylum jump the line. This is line-jumping β€” but for rich people, not those in need.

It is interesting that the administration can order the Coast Guard to seize a vessel, rather than blow it up, when it wants to.

A federal judge has ordered the National Guard to leave Los Angeles and return to @governor.ca.gov Gavin Newsom’s control in a stern rebuke of the Trump administration’s contention that it can leave troops in the city indefinitely. bit.ly/3XNvsF3

George Retes is a U.S. citizen and Iraq war veteran. He was detained by ICE and held in solitary confinement for three days without explanation.

George shared his story before Congress to make sure no American has to endure the same abuse he did.

Apparently they changed their name and mission in 2022 ("in education" became "and expression"), so maybe this is something they should be speaking up about. I haven't seen them rep any religious orgs yet

Seems like a lot of voters might be interested in Trump's position on birthright citizenship, stated here, which would logically extend retroactively to strip millions of people of their US citizenship

JUST IN: Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Snell just confirmed, at the prodding of U.S. Magistrate Judge Keri Holleb Hotaling, that this motion for dismissal followed a "no bill" from a grand jury.

That means the grand jury refused to indict.

I actually didn't realize that they formally changed their name and expanded beyond education in 2022. Convenient timing for them lol

Where's the outrage from the American Freedom Law Center and Pacific Legal Foundation folks?

I'm curious if the recent changes to property tax treatment of large-scale solar farms will factor into these decisions at all? One argument behind eliminating the property tax exclusion for large MW arrays was to incentivize counties to site them bc they will actually see increased revenue from it

I think the toxic current correlation between β€œstudied STEM” and β€œtechbro sociopathy” isn’t really about the subject matter itself but is about how our culture has spent 25 years constantly blowing smoke up the asses of guys who are even passably competent at Computer or Quant

The thing that bums me out about this is how much of the student loan debate centered around pushing for unilateral executive action on forgiveness rather than pushing for legislative change moving forward. Helping some people out of a burning building without doing anything to try to put it out.

Biden was the best we’re ever going to do on student loans because a very clear lesson there was that there is apparently absolutely no electoral benefit to moving heaven and earth to try and help student debtors

Lower level science classes are either weed-out courses for med-school hopefuls OR specifically tailored to students who won't take another science class.

Most schools have these interdisciplinary classes and we should teach more about the history of science in k-12 rather than truly hard science
