At least two students are in critical condition after a shooting today at Evergreen High School in Evergreen, Colorado. On August 27th, two children were killed and 17 people were injured in a Minnesota church and school shooting.

@gavinnewsom.bsky.social what is wrong with you? I don’t condone violence, especially gun violence, but Charlie Kirk was a monster. He hated most of us and advocated for violence against us. By us, I mean social workers, progressives, brown and black, queer, non-Christian women.

Political violence is abhorrent. I have not celebrated Kirk's death.

But Newsom calling for his followers to "continue Charlie Kirk's work," someone who praised stoning gay people as "god's perfect law," who called for men to "take care of" trans people like they did in the 50s and 60s, is not it.

It’s been a little over two years since I lost my dad. Today is his birthday. He would’ve been 84. I miss him so much. I wonder if this deep sadness will ever leave.
