Fortunately, I keep my other books in a separate bookcase elsewhere, including Fighting Fantasy and Choose Your Own Adventure books. These are safe from termites for now.

To address the termite problem, we've called in pest control for soil treatment, but I'm still observing the results.

To make up for my loss with the gamebooks, I've been interested in getting a Kindle for years, so I finally treated myself to one—the 12th gen Paperwhite.

Weeks ago, termites have found their way into our second floor, and they discovered my collection of gamebooks. Some were salvageable, but the Dungeons and Dragons Endless Quest books had it the worst. Not to mention, we're now worried about termites spreading to the other rooms.
