Look I’m not saying I don’t care. I care deeply. I just have very suddenly and unexpectedly hit my limit. As someone said on 🧵, I am exhausted and halfway to feral. If my daughter and I just lost access to the healthcare trying to keep us alive, I may be all the way there very suddenly.
It’s amazing. Suddenly I remember what the theater smelled like and how my then-BF felt sitting next to me in the crowded theater and the way this one actor kind of exploded into movement … astonishing. 35 years ago.
AND THEY KNOW WHAT YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT.

One of the most interesting & fraught parts of #writing a #memoir about stuff that happened 30+ years ago is emailing regional theaters you worked in/saw shows at to ask “what was the name of that Russian play the three male actors did in Russian and y’all passed out headphones for translations?”
