Pete Smith has just clarified that the accidental offside law only applies if they score a goal immediately after the accidental handball. In that case I can’t see how this can be captured by that rule. Sounds like we’re getting another official apology

Not if the doesn’t think it was intentional- which if it happened it clearly wasn’t. Only becomes an issue if there’s a goal

I think the delay is because of the handball rule. As I understand it now if it touches the hand even unintentionally in the act of a goal then it’s handball. No idea if it hit his hand though - very difficult to see from the clips I’ve seen

He was rapid in his Palace days - certainly not rapid by the time he played for us 😂
