Unemployment, it's got to be unemployment, right? Cuz people who work in Construction, Medical fields, or for Organizations like Nasa don't waste their energy on things like tht.

Perhaps his toughest labor is snuffing out the fog in the abandoned and haunted city of Chan Naj (Mayan for "Cloud House"), and slay the wicked spirit Xtaambay (Mayan for "Phantom"), a servant of Camazotz (The Lord of the Bats, and one of the many rulers of afterlife, Xibalba) Xmaben (potentially) final labor is ascending all the way up an inexplicably tall and mountainous pyramid where the top is protected by a legendary warrior who has NEVER been defeated (his armor gradually breaks apart during the fight). But does Xmaben know that he too is one of the few surviving members of their kind? Probably Xmaben's least ominous labor is awakening a mountain golem (who possesses aerokinesis) from her beauty-rest, emerge through the air, and perform her another one of her revered wind operas once more. This is Kabah's ghost, who was intended to be Xmaben's very first labor in the story. A jaded, grumpy, and bitter spirit who's soul is linked to the Mayan city of Kabah, and trapped within a giant idol which he animates using his wind powers. Xmaben's task would be to help Kabah's ghost rest once and for all by exorcising him out of the Idol. But beware, he's irritable, with a short fuse and a lousy attitude.

Old concept art for an OC called Xmaben, "The missing Olmec". Much of his story (if I ever get around to materializing it) revolves around him searching for other surviving Olmecs. As well as completing labors (Hercules style)

Watching Teamspeak’s “marketing campaign” against Discord is like watching a scorned lover publicly bad-mouth her ex unprompted, and rather than the people around siding with her as she is hoping, they instead give her weird looks.

This one’s from December 3rd of 2025. I take any opportunity to drive around New Mexico. There’s always something over there to paint.

I pity the fool who sings the praises of YouTube premium, and much more the fool who unironically recommends it to me.

I noticed almost nobody says “troll/trolling” all that much as of typing this. They call it “rage bait” nowadays, it just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

“Operation Mombasa” Funfact; this background was modeled after a Brutalist style Railway Bridge in Nairobi National Park,Kenya.

Can’t believe I didn’t upload this when I finished it, but here you go. My first painting of 2026. It was originally created for an event called “AA Radio” at the Artoholics Anonymous Discord server. Basically you make something based on a song an anon participant sends you.

I think it's the opposite :D
If you like playing them regardless of outcome, that means your joy isn't dependent on your performance, it's the most chill of experiences :3

Kinda like me with Dark Souls, just playing it is everything for me

I trust NO artist who draws their human self conventionally good looking, hot, sexy, or easy-on-the-eyes.

I’ve fumbled on the perspective, I wanted it to look like a crowded metropolis. Actually, it’s meant to be a reconstruction of Xunantunich (in what is now Belize). But there wasn’t much to work with, since it’s not as neatly preserved as Palenque and the likes.

6x6" oil painting on canvas, fall scene with mountains in the background.

A Little Fall Painting with 💛 Bismuth Yellow 💛

Oil paint on a 6x6" Pro-Tones canvas. You can buy this canvas from Jerry's Artarama. It comes pre-toned in a neutral gray.

Omg! I haven't posted anything here in 2 months!

Perfect collab and cross promotion campaign. But nooo, Nintendo (and by that extension, Bamco) is allergic to nice things.

A study of The Mayan fortress of Tulum. In what is now Cancun, Mexico. As always, I like illustrating what these places may have looked like before they were abandoned.

Congolese Moambe Chicken 🇨🇩🇨🇫. Cooking this wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. (Would you believe it’s also made out of peanut butter?)

I don’t fw fandoms and never will. Im much better off comfortably staying in my lane and enjoying something without the baggage of interacting with people who take their pop culture too seriously.

2/2 make fun of Deviantart all you want, but uploading artwork and displaying a gallery was infinitely better. It was much more organized, and with enough tags, you could always easily find what you were looking for the search bar of each artist’s page.

1/2: I do not get the appeal of moving to a site like Tumblr or Twitter for artists when they want to relocate their portfolio. Scrolling near endlessly to find one particular artwork of theirs sucks, scrolling’s the LAST thing I want to do.

By that extension, despite popular belief, “All Star” wasn’t first used to promote Shrek. It was actually first used in a movie called “Mystery Men” which predates Shrek by 3 years.

My favorite funfact from the first Shrek movie is that Smash mouth’s “All Star” wasn’t actually meant to be used in the movie’s intro (but a placeholder until they composed an original song). But, the test audiences loved the All Star version so much, they took it as a good sign to just keep it
