The cover of The Devil’s Halo by Rhys Hughes was designed by Alison Buck. It consists of tessellations of a monochrome seated demon figure with a halo. The demon in the centre of the cover has a halo which is coloured gold. The artwork is very much an homage to M.C. Escher who produced many tessellated images.

I am sure it's because of the christofascist anti-science anti-rational anti-intellectual avaricious vicious rapey misogynistic racist bollocks mainly.

I haven't bought any vinyl for three decades. This is because I haven't had a deck in that time. The last time I dropped a needle on a record was in 1998 while visiting a friend. I listened to the entirety of 'Abbey Road' on really nice vintage equipment. One day I want to get back into vinyl 🎶🎵

Hitler only ever did one good thing in his life. He shot himself.
But by shooting himself, he not only killed Hitler, he also killed the man who killed Hitler.
This proves he was evil even when he was doing his one good deed.

I try to read one BIG novel every year. I was going to choose a Dickens for 2026 but now it seems I have settled on this one. I won't start it until I have cleared most of my reading backlog, but Powys is this year's chap 🙂 #booksky
