One of my favorite things in my previous game was that you could make your party members untargetable. If you made all three untargetable you could skip any fight, including bosses, and I kept that in because anyone who liked the game was only ever going to use that to skip battles they couldnt beat

I am happy to announce that in the time we've been gone, we've not only started and cancelled two games, but in fact, started a third. Here's a glimpse.

thinking about 1000xRESIST and the way it humanizes, empathizes with, and sends love to immigrant mothers. my mom is the strongest woman i know. i'm so thankful this game sees her, even if so many people in the world just think of her as the dirt beneath their shoes. she matters; her story matters.

One of the craziest things about being an aspiring gamedev right now for me is knowing that if I simply had the money, I could assemble some of the best talent in the industry because they're all fucking unemployed

Grabbed Hyper Light Breaker last night and despite the usual Early Access hiccups, it's really, really fun!! I wasn't expecting an extraction shooter-esque gameplay loop, but I actually think it's a great way to enable runs of various lengths without forcing failure like in most roguelikes

On one hand i should just buy it, on the other, im spitefully invested in getting it to drop

Farming for Growing Power is such an awful grind, so disconnected from anything else, that i STILL dont have it even after like 40+ tries (an insane amount of tries for a 6% drop that can only be accessed by crafting a specific item with timegated materials!!!!!)

We tried this out last night and enjoyed the hell out of it. Good stuff!!

Ugh. It would have been so easy not to associate with asmongold, of all the scumbags

A lot was learned—and that's really my main takeaway for 2024. Shit kinda sucked, but we learned an insane amount. Hopefully, that means a smoother development and launch for our next game, which is already in its early stages!

I gave up on advertising it, and even just finishing the bare minimum burnt me out. And for what? A game I didn't even make for myself.

On the other hand, wow, Quirkbound kinda sucks! It's a fraction of what it was meant to be, a minimum viable product rather than a full game.

So 2024 was a cool year for us. I mean, Quirkbound exists now! That's fucking huge!
