I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Mohammed. Mohammed was a lawyer prior to all of this and his wife Miran was a pharmacist. Both their businesses were destroyed. They were able to move back to their home in the North with their children Ziad, 6 and Mirna, 3 but it has no roof.

Farhan Haq of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated that over 37,000 tons of UN aid have entered the Gaza Strip since the ceasefire began on October 10. However, this amount remains well below the 190,000 tons of food and medicine the UN has positioned outside Gaza to support a 60-day relief plan, launched at the start of the truce after two years of devastating war on the enclave.

The people of Gaza are highly educated and skilled, many holding advanced degrees and professional qualifications, yet they find themselves in urgent need. They do not ask for help out of pride or display; they do so humbly, after doors were closed in their faces and all other options were exhausted. Aid is scarce and irregular, and what is portrayed in the media rarely reflects the true daily hardships they face, including the constant fear, hunger, destruction, and uncertainty. Every donation directly helps families survive, provides food and temporary shelter, and preserves the dignity of people who have been deprived of almost everything.”

Sharing this information is vital so supporters understand the severity of the situation in Gaza. People should not have to witness killing or bloodshed to empathize with the suffering of ordinary families. Everyone requesting donations today has already endured profound loss—children, siblings, parents, loved ones, homes, money, and livelihoods. They ask for help out of necessity, not convenience or choice, and their daily reality is a struggle to survive. Shelters and tents are inadequate, homes are damaged or unsafe, and basic necessities like food, water, and electricity are extremely limited. This footage reflects not only the physical destruction but also the emotional and psychological toll endured by families who have lost so much. Supporting them through donations provides immediate relief, ensures access to food and basic services, and allows families to sustain themselves and their children. The people of Gaza show extraordinary resilience and courage, facing overwhelming adversity with determination and hope, despite the unimaginable challenges around them.”
