The 3 Bewick's Swans, Red-breasted Merganser, and Common Scoter were great to see at Grafham today. Best of the rest were a 1st winter Mediterranean Gull and a German-ringed Caspian Gull X2F1 @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social

On a wild goose chase today, checking the local Greylags flocks. Best so far is a Pink-footed Goose at Cow Lane Gravel Pits, Godmanchester. Eight Goosander here too @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social

There were a few Dun Sentinels amongst the driftwood/rotting vegetation. I found them new to the county at Saul Warth in winter 2023 so it looks like they are established here now.

Yes, perfect conditions today. Hadn't heard about the grebe so it was a nice day out. The divers were feeding very actively on the far side, going missing for quite long periods
