My first Battalion Ball since I retired. I was awarded the Bronze de Fleury Medal, the Engineer Regiment award that wr give ourselves. By Engineers for Engineers. Saw some old friends, people I deployed and served with. Always a great time. Totally worth the long drive and the haircut.

I don't think my flamethrower will make it through customs. I've been stung in the neck twice by these vicious bastards, so I am not taking any of them alive. I did work as a pest control technician for 6 horrible months in the 90s. I'm sure my license is expired. Worst job of my life.

38 years ago, I enlisted in the United States Army and the California Army National Guard. I had no plan to stay in for as long as I did, but I served for 36 years, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Tinnitus, back, and leg pain are a small price to pay. ❤️ to my brothers and sisters.
