I keep seeing Over the Garden Wall popping up here and there, I guess some folk are discovering it for the first time. If you are, I envy you - it's a beautiful timeless folksy classic that we regularly return to in our house; it lives rent free on a loop in my head.
We've been working on this contemporary legend edition of REVENANT journal for years, out today! Huge amount of work from Sophie Parkes-Nield & Andrew Robinson, some work from myself and David Clarke, many wonderfully patient contributors & a couple of reviews from me also!

Happy John Aubrey Day – 400 years old today! The original stone botherer, who recognised the Avebury stones for the prehistoric marvel they are, and rightly commented that the site 'doth as much exceed Stonehenge as a cathedral doth a parish church'.

I write about this exquisite film in my book THE CINEMA COVEN: WITCHES, WITCHCRAFT AND WOMEN'S FILMMAKING. Did you know that in 1926, Lotte Reiniger made an animated feature with a honest-to-goodness non-binary witch character? This film is 100 different types of gorgeous for so many reasons!

Every black dog omen, every weathered standing stone, every pagan dance and flickering village ritual — they all lead back to this.

Apart from anything else, it's good to see a plumber elected to parliament.
Our latest episode of FOLKLORE MATTERS is a corker, with activist folk artist Lucy J Wright - also if you listen to the end of each episode you get to hear the longer version of our wonderful intro theme beautifully composed by Paul Dorrington
This was such a strong and important show. And delightful too! Your soundtrack provided the perfect backdrop- slightly unsettling, defiant and rousing!
Now there is hope! It's no longer a choice between grim and grimmer. We can vote for who we want and win. Anywhere.
It's just one constituency, but the Green victory in Gorton and Denton is an electric shock to our political system.
BREAKING: A wonderful speech from Green Party's Hannah Spencer after winning the Gorton and Denton by-election.
Congratulations!
Shouldn't this read CHILDREN rather than 'young women'?
