Can’t work all the time. Headed back from a week in Curacao with the family. Great snorkeling. Nice people. Interesting food.
There is a documentary on Apple TV about this called The Last of the Sea Women.
The odds are against spec writers, but when your story lands well, then that’s a moment worth celebrating.
Admittedly, the script-to-screen path from there remains unclear, but being here in my sixth year of focused writing effort means my stories are connecting, and that my work is justified.
The Black List's role as an early filter for the Academy Nicholl Fellowships as of this year has made it a premiere screenplay discovery platform.
My screenplay Alone has officially landed in the top 1% on The Black List, earning two 8s and a recent 6 from professional readers. This is the same script that received a rare “Recommend” rating from a 40-year veteran Hollywood script analyst.
Sometimes, the feature films I write actually get made—and I can finally say that! If you’re into vampire dramas, you might enjoy this indie production, shot right here in Atlanta on a shoestring budget. Rooted in Greek mythology, the story leans into a modern-day love tale.

Running a kindle book promotion. Feeling good about it.
An oldie but a goody.
Just dropped another novella under my author pseudonym, Fish Phillips—adapted from one of my screenplays. Had a table read in Atlanta with a killer cast, and they loved it. If you’re into unhinged bizarro comedy, like all my other comedy writing, this one’s for you. Check it out: a.co/d/aRft6qW

If you've never had the pleasure of working at a large company with an idiotic chaos monkey at the helm, but you've always wondered what it would be like... Welcome to the USA!
I know our country is on fire. I know Trump is bad and is doing very bad things, and I often address those things with posts and reposts. But if I post a joke about my kid or my dog or a pleasant experience at a diner, don’t scold me for not exclusively talking politics 24/7. Please just ignore me.

We did an animation once during COVID where my daughter did the MC voiceover with grunts and other noises. We had fun with it. Hope you do, too. Little Girl Grace - 2021

Told an associate today that living in the USA feels like being in an abusive home. I've been there before. Back then, I kept painting, playing piano, and singing. I survived. That lesson carries over to today: keep doing the work not because the world is fine but because that is how we all survive.
