After a month of going down the zero-trust rabbit hole, I can finally see the bottom.
But boy am I not excited to do all the config change and regression & integration tests.

๐ธ๐ฌ Singapore Developer โข Tinkerer โข Runner I'm not ahead. Just short sighted. That's why I'm "the guy at the front".

"AI" is an overloaded term. Transformer model might not stay. LLM might not be the way we interface with AI.
Humanity will continue to pursue AI, and hence "AI" won't go away. But the AI we have now? That's up for debate.
Perhaps what needs fixing is our expectations, not the technology.
When interviewers ask "do you know AI", how do I tell if they are asking "can I prompt" or "do you know gradient descent"?

I felt a surge of pride as I pushed the button for the 22nd floor.
HA! Checkmate, stranger. I've won the imaginary game you didn't know you were playing.

Just learnt about MoltBook.
Surely people realize that by connecting to it, they exposed their agents to public prompt attacks, right?
As a millennial, that's called a "crib". "Studio" is where we move into when we've made it.
02.02.2026 07:45 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I can't tell if pt3 is political and we've discovered a parallel Earth on a "good timeline", or something about our Sun is bad.
If it's the latter - what's wrong with our Sun?!
This assumes systems are necessarily complex.
But when you consider single user offline applications, the complexity reduces drastically - no scaling, no networking, no race conditions, no security. Even UI/UX can be more lax.
Many existing apps can function this way.
Everyday, at around the same time, this cat visits me at my door for treats. Today I decided to wait for her.
As she rounded the corner, she saw me waiting, growled at me then took off.
She wasn't visiting me everyday. She was hunting me.
I'm procrastinating on a task by fantasizing about everything I can do once I've completed the task.

So much config, maybe I need Ansible. Terraform? At this point, why not.
Cool. Cool. Here's my website: localhost:8080/hello_world
Took me embarrassingly long to figure out what the mosaic is. Nice detail, Eric!
12.12.2025 07:51 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Congratulations Eric on another successful year of #AdventOfCode. Thank you for your time and effort in creating this annual tradition.
Also, kudos to the community - visualizations, memes, blog posts, discussions, and all.
Merry ho-ho-holidays folks. Let's do this again, together, next year!
Y'know, I'm inclined to think the elves at #AdventOfCode don't deserve presents.
Everything is broken. Every year.
Ah, a kindred spirit. Remember that 99% of developers stop before their exponential time algorithm completes.
We are part of the 1%!
Happy to report, I've solved #AdventOfCode d10p2 without z3!
I forgot to stop my script. It ran for more than 48 hours.
Pretty sure I'm the only dumbass that has done that.
Was wondering how you were gonna solve systems of equations with posgres. Fair play
11.12.2025 08:05 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's the penultimate day for #AdventOfCode. I wonder if we get two parts tomorrow or just one.
My brain is also getting a little confused. It alternates between thinking tomorrow is Christmas because "last puzzle", and knowing it's too soon to be Christmas.
Wait.. It's too soon to be 2026!
I found my new favourite phrase of 2025!
Someone on the call just said "as asap as possible".
Lgtm to me, tysm so much.
#AdventOfCode getting spicy. I'm getting stuck.
The good news is, I've become more productive now that I have to avoid social media so I don't get spoiled.
Just found out python heapq supports maxheap out of the box.
Idk why I've been using negative weights in minheaps to simulate maxheaps.
And I'm gonna keep doing it.
0H-H0, 3D inputs. Flashback to dropping bricks.
I wonder how that reddit person attempting #AdventOfCode on ASM will handle today's puzzle.
Oh cool, a given christmas tree input. Or closed enough. Hope this means we won't have to find it by shuffling the inputs this year.
#AdventOfCode
My first instinct is "Why?", and my second instinct is "That actually sounds fun".
So I've answered my own question..
What in the madness is this
06.12.2025 07:27 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0We're halfway done with #AdventOfCode. Such a strange and bittersweet feeling.
I'm thankful for getting time back, but it feels all too fast! What am I gonna use to pretend-work at work?
Today's #AdventOfCode is an example of the non-technical challenges we face as devs, where the requirements are incomplete and we need to employ data forensic to suss out the details.
06.12.2025 07:12 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Is this considered an easter egg?
I wanna hang out, but I don't want to intrude either. I guess I'll just stalk you like normal people do.
As always, very thankful of Eric for #AdventOfCode.
Lift temporarily chute. Thank you for your understanding.
04.12.2025 14:43 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0IMO the most enjoyable part of #AdventOfCode is not solving the problems themselves but seeing the variety of visual representation of solutions posted by the community.
Sooo satisfyingly to see into my own head with my own eyes.
