It seems excellent, also tbh the pilot was so stressful that I didn’t come back for episode 2, but everyone keeps telling me I should!

One of my favorite things about NYC is that the entire fleet of NYC ferries was named by 2nd graders. I think about this every time my run takes me past the docks.

Anyway, there are people who went to work this morning aboard The Tooth Ferry and the Ocean Queen Rockstar.

A new novel by @emilymandel.bsky.social OH HELL YES

If you have not yet read "Station Eleven" or "The Glass Hotel" get to your local library, bookstore, bookshop.org or libro.fm. I would read "Station Eleven" first, just because a couple of characters from that book appear in the next one.

Did you get the one that said you’d be β€œadded to the list of dishonest individuals”? I was insulted but also somehow charmed. Imagine a world with an official dishonest individuals list. And if you’re on it, no driving for you!

God, what an incredibly distracting news cycle. I for one have completely forgotten about the Epstein files

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

I’ve been having the opposite problem. Part of my new novel is set in an authoritarian near-future United States, and with every passing day it’s less fictional.

I love that line! But I can’t take credit… that line’s in the TV adaptation, not the book, so it’s @patrickerville.bsky.social

NEW: 18,500 children have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza.

The Washington Post has just published every single known name.

A seminal moment.

Remember to vote today, New Yorkers. Rank your candidates, one through five.

The important thing is to fill in all five columns. With anyone except Cuomo, pictured here harassing a much younger woman at a wedding in 2019.

I don't think I've ever felt more like burning it all down than I have while witnessing the elite project to turn Zohran Mamdani and Brad Lander into scary, incompetent monsters while turning an actual incompetent monster, Andrew Cuomo, into a merely complicated fellow who just made an oopsie.

Once a very long time ago I was walking in Manhattan at night (west 50s I think) and as I walked by a restaurant, a side door opened and a blonde woman came out carrying a toddler on her hip, which was impressive because she was wearing stiletto heels, and she was Britney Spears.
