It's just fun, being able to let my character have her own path, seeing it evolve as this story plays out.
And I've learned that I'm really easy to get along with when my boundaries and time are respected. Wild how that works out 😊
I'm gonna get sappy here for a sec. I randomly had Astre not-so-subtly eavesdrop on a Draenei Vindicator one day as he talked to a couple of Man'ari. And then they said hi to each other. And it has turned into an rp that has made me have fun with the game again & brought new rp friends into my life.
And there have to be at least a few lore nerds on the WoW team who would have fun creating those items and quests lol
I keep having the same thought. Like, our characters are learning at a sort of general level about these races. But archaeology-focused chars would get to learn more details, understand them more, & carry that back to their leadership. Just makes for more immersion, not to mention fun RP potential!

Midnight is fun but I hate the current trend where Blizz just drops whole content systems because less people engage with them. Was Archaeology, Pet Battles, and Dragonracing really stealing more than a handful of developers’ time? We can’t have fun side minigames anymore?
Maybe I will never speak ill of this game again
