To soundproof, you’ll need to construct or buy something with soundproofing foam. Whisper rooms are prebuilt vocal booths for that, but you can build your own out of Rockwool Safe n Sound and drywall. Then you’ll have a small soundproof room that you’ll have to put up foam and blankets inside of ^^

You can definitely film videos in it, but it won’t be super pretty and it will work for sound ISOLATION, not sound PROOFING. Your housemates will still be able to hear you just fine, but you’ll have a lot less reverb in your room ^^

Just FYI, Voice Actors in the USA: Harbor Freight has 5 lb moving blankets on sale for $5, perfect for making a DYI vocal booth or hanging up on walls/floors for sound isolation. Double those up and you’ve got the same weight and thickness as the expensive acoustic blankets!
