That makes absolutely no sense, whatsoever. Clearly, this person knows nothing about education, kids, or reading. There are lots of different modes of communication, and we encounter, consume, and interpret many throughout our day. Interacting with one does not make you weak in another.🤦🏻‍♀️

As a reading specialist, literacy, coach, and children’s author, I cannot agree with this more! Teachers in my school district embrace graphic novels, and I sing their praises to parents whenever I have the opportunity! I’m thankful that our new GA ELA standards support this, too!
