This is the exact opposite of what theaters need. 🙄

The theater experience can absolutely be saved if theaters gave a shit about enforcing rules and cut their pre-shows and filler ads down. Of course the studios need to give a film a chance at the box office.

Imagine if marvel and DC only releases like 1-2 big movies a year. Studios could start making a variety of movies and give them a 3 month run at the theater. Get people back in theaters.

Not shooting a vlog for TikTok and having your phone light up the dark theater.

The movie theater experience peaked in the 90’s/2000’s. Nobody knows how to act in a theater now. People are “shooting content” in a theater. Everyone is using their phones like it’s their living room. We are missing the point. It’s to disconnect and enjoy what’s on the screen for a few hours.

Nobody wanted this or asked for it. Tired of world building in every franchise.

1. Stop running that atrocious Nicole Kidman ad.
2. Turn the lights off during the trailers.
3. Cut down trailer to 3-4.
4. Actually enforce the no cellphone policy for a better experience all around.

looking back, AOL had it right. 30 hours of internet per month was the right amount.

I miss when I was actually excited about new release movies. Now they’re all just so bland and boring.

This rain is niiiice.

Watching the movies I’ve bought because I love those movies is way more enjoyable than watching movies the algorithms of whatever streamers are putting on our feeds.

Been watching my own blu-ray collection lately. I’m enjoying that way more than streaming. I’ve watched this week:

1. True Lies
2. The Rock
3. Enemy of the state.

All great 90’s action movies. Got so many more I want to watch. Just ya know reconnecting with my personal collection.

Really hope Canon drops that retro camera with the ability to use a LUT, preset or film recipes like Fuji.
