Dutch TTF rose to ~€46/MWh; UK NBP also surged in volatile trading.

Indeed, but for Ukraine the present situation might be beneficient. If they help these rich countries defend themselves they might expect/negotiate support for themselves in the immediate future. Ukraine has learned the hard way by now how international diplomacy and negotiations work.
