2. the assault component of an MEU is like, 1200 men. any attack on the iranian mainland would be suicide. They could maybe take one of the small islands? not Qeshm tho.

But here, openly, the US Secretary for Defense is explicitly admitting to committing war crimes.
It's not just the PKK. It increasingly looks like none of the Kurdish groups that the U.S. was hoping to use as footsoldiers in Iran are going to be joining this conflict.
Which is good. The Kurds deserve self-determination, but joining this war would be insanely risky.
