Well, this is awkward but… I was just mass-downsized at Respawn. These things happen and my time with Apex has been a top to bottom blast, my favorite job I’ve ever had.

It’s been a true joy to write Sparrow, I’ll continue to be insufferable about him for weeks to come.

Spoilers ahead but

First episode literally brings up Lupus within 5 minutes, the doctor is snarky, straight to the point, more interested in silly stuff like a dinosaur exhibition, until an interesting case appears that (of course) her boss prohibits her from continuing so she has to break the law

I decided to watch Ameku Takao because people were making Dr. House jokes AND I love Dr. House (binge watched all seasons) but I thought people were exaggerating for funny laughs.

I was soooo wrong. I have FINALLY found something to fill the hole that Dr. House left in my heart.

A splash screen from Apex Legends. It features the Legend Seer working with the Legend Bloodhound to gain a surprise advantage on another party. They're inside a cramped Kings Canyon shack, with the other squad (made up of a Wraith, Caustic and Mirage) taking stock of loot from a recent kill. While mirage loots, Caustic sets traps to be sure... until Wraith gets word from her Voices that danger is close.

Got to work with Respawn on this loading screen back during Apex Legends Season 10: Emergence! It was available for a limited time via twitch drop, and recently (ish) again for the fourth anniversary

S'older now, but still like a lot about this piece :)
