Took this a few weeks back and never posted it here, but it’s my favourite one from the last little while.

My first ever full any% run, and blew Summit.

The fun thing is that any website with meaningful traffic basically has to use Cloudflare these days to avoid getting DDoSed by AI crawlers. So another layer of single point of failure.

Don't have one myself, but from everything I've heard, yep.

Yeah, I'm the same with story-based games. It can be less of an issue with other games, but it depends how focused I need to be on it. I can see the issue with being a wimp though.. ;)

When I used to work night shifts alone, I usually had a Twitch stream open to kinda have someone there.

Quite possibly, but I also haven't seen most of the photos that do exist, so maybe there is something I don't know about!

I don't know that there is any such photo for me because I hid it so well and I also avoided being in photos, so there's just not that many of me.

Finished my Storygraph genre challenge last night! Won’t be doing next year’s, but proud of getting that done for 3 years in a row! Last book was Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle, which was a bit of a slow burn, but I liked it.

Only 43 families out of 160,000 students have exercised that new right.

I've been more social in the last month than I've ever been in my life. That's not an exaggeration. It's not even close. Things are just clicking, I'm finding communities I fit into, and the anxiety that used to hold me back seems to be dissipating.

Though I’ve had a lot of failures on that front, even in the last year. It’s important not to give up if it doesn’t work out, as hard as that might be.

I generally am too. I’ve found some local meetup groups I seem to vibe with and I’m starting to meet some people that way. It’s definitely hard, but I think being around people who like you and want you there is one of the better ways to get through this if you can manage it.

I hear you.. I’ve been trying to make changes to my life to find more socialization to hopefully help with that.

Finished John Scalzi's The Shattering Peace. It was fun, as his books usually are. Didn't really predict where it ended up going. 4.5/5

For me it tends to be Fridays. I don't know why, there shouldn't be any reason for it, but it's definitely noticeable.

On the other hand, I’ve been way more social the last few weeks. Went to 3 meetups last weekend plus swim, and 1 this weekend plus swim, and I was social even at swim today, which I’m often not. Feels like something has changed there.

So for those who don't know, I left Fatales this week. I've been thinking about it for a few months and I think that's the best thing for me to do in my situation.

Yeah, I'm not a huge TV watcher either. Watching an hour-long scripted show can be hard to focus on. Even watching a Twitch stream tends to have my focus dropping in and out.

I find it kind of interesting that most people seem to need more energy to be able to read than watch TV, while for me it's the opposite. Reading is my go-to when I'm not feeling up to anything else.
