Florida wildlife officials approve black bear hunt for this December
For the first time since 2015, Florida will reopen black bear hunting.
Florida wildlife officials on Wednesday approved a 23-day black bear hunt in December that could result in up to 187 bears being killed. It will be the stateโs first sanctioned bear hunt in more than a decade.

Aging sewer lines trigger new wastewater spill in Escambia County
Aging cast iron sewer lines have ruptured multiple times this year, leaking raw waste into Skinner Mill Creek and Escambia Bay.
For the seventh time this year, a sewage spill has contaminated waterways in Escambia County. ECUA says the spill was due to pipelines that date back to the late 1960s/early 1970s.
