I am not a Trump supporter. Never was.
I’m a theoretical physicist, musician, and Zen Buddhist. The best thing we ever did was leave the Washington DC metro area and move here to the country due to a job transfer. More freedom, peace and quiet. And yes, all the guns I could possibly want! Love it!
We disagree on this point. I am on the political right and I don’t think Mr. Kirk was anywhere near a fascist. I disagreed strongly with his religious takes on issues, but I’m glad he was in the arena defending his views and he made a huge impact on politics and culture.
I understand the “line”; we just differ on this point. I am willing to accept a small fraction of gun-related deaths in order to keep and expand 2nd Amendment rights because I think that constitutional right is crucial for Americans. And states can impose the limits they desire on guns.
I’m politically on the right. I disagreed with Mr. Kirk on a lot, but he did not deserve to die for simply speaking his ideas in a public forum. And I agree on his stance regarding the 2nd Amendment. I want Americans to have as many guns as they can lawfully own & I make sure that happens everyday.
I’m politically on the right & disagreed with Mr. Kirk on many issues. No one deserves to be killed for expressing their ideas. And yes, I have more guns in my home than most people could ever imagine & will always fight for the freedom for everyone to have any gun they can lawfully obtain.
Definitely one of the worst, most uneducated press secretaries to ever hold the job. However, she held the golden minority quota ticket.
@zafulotus.bsky.social Just in case you missed this snoozer.
@zafulotus.bsky.social I was working from home today on detonation physics; an email notification popped up and I yelled, “Dammit Academia…stop with the fricking Magic Stick!”
@zafulotus.bsky.social Very nice job on your BSA discussion yesterday. Thank you for your time. Can you now please tell Academia to stop sending me emails with the subject line “I’ve Got The Magic Stick?”
@zafulotus.bsky.social You’d better not be cramming tonight for your BSA talk tomorrow on birth narratives!
Tell me about it. I made the mistake of agreeing to review a doc written by another agency on some research we did together thinking “this will be easy.”
The document sucks and I’ve bled all over it. The youth of today…stop with the Wikipedia and AI…it ain’t cutting it.
@zafulotus.bsky.social You know a good week is coming up when your phone beeps at you saying “RFW talks ancient birth stories on BSA!”
Hope you are well and have a nice weekend.
@hugomendez.bsky.social Finished your BSA class on the NT today. That was one of the best classes that I’ve ever taken. You are a superb lecturer. Thank you so much for taking time out of your regular teaching & research.
Please let me know if you ever need any help from an explosives physicist.
Great article that everyone who cares about our justice system should read. And he quotes the great Akhil Amar, whose book on Constitutional Criminal Procedure I’m currently reading!

And you don’t like the science behind the polygraph, of which there is none. Zero. Nada. Niet.
Good God, let it go already, Junior. You won. He lost. Let the old man be.
I’m not a huge fan of the Heritage Foundation at all, but on this one I partly agree, especially if members of the movement support the terrorist group Hamas. I’m all for free speech, but I draw the line at material support for terrorists. Hopefully the FBI will root them out and prosecute them.
You should hook him up to the polygraph and ask him if he likes it. Sorry, I just had to.
I may be in the minority; I don’t agree given my experience in the private & public sector. Of all the people I’ve worked with in technical slots, the worst have usually been those with Ph.ds. Rigid, arrogant, condescending, dismissive. It’s one of the biggest reasons I only hire those with Masters.
Like your failing podcast as a case in point.
And the good news just keeps coming.
@zafulotus.bsky.social My wife has complained about my rampant cramming of Mark knowledge because of your upcoming BSA discussion. She said, “That woman must seriously hate you.”
I said, “Robyn is very nice, collegial, and wicked smart. I’ll know I’m in the shits when she compares me to Cicero.”
I was at a “liberal” gathering & discussing my views on the New Testament & Jesus. Then politics & I was asked for a few views. I said,
1. Not a Trump supporter.
2. I support mass deportation of illegal aliens.
3. I support Trump’s appointments of non-Fauci medical staff.
No more invites for me!
As a proud member of the “right-wing” I do agree that this is absolutely priceless. What’s even more priceless is when my “right-wing” compatriots hear my views on Jesus and the NT. Then for some odd reason I am automatically ostracized to the “left-wing.” I can’t win.
@zafulotus.bsky.social The secret is out about your upcoming BSA discussion on Mark. My lovely wife said, “Oh shit…does she know that you study Mark morning, noon, and night and can’t STFU about it? That poor woman. I feel so sorry for her.”
I promised to go easy on you. Have a great week!
@candidamoss.bsky.social Will you be covering this for CBS too?
Yes, indeed!
@zafulotus.bsky.social Here’s a Neoplatonist yawner for you on a Saturday night. You might have to wait for a free desk copy.
Congratulations, Robyn. I’ll try my best to give you a pass on Lil’ Kim, but let’s not push it. Like my lovely and brilliant wife always says, “Don’t talk to Michael about music. He actually thinks that Jethro Tull is good.” Which they were, when Martin Barre was their guitarist, of course.
