Happy Birthday to Monica Queen! She joined forces with us to sing 'Te recuerdo Amanda', in honour of the great Chilean poet and singer, Victor Jara, who was murdered by Pinochet's right-wing military dictatorship. What a voice! www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ege...
Here's the full line-up for The Great May Day Cabaret. We'll be playing some new tunes. And some old ones. Pass it on. Come along!
Many thanks to Kikochispas for all the support and for playing The Owl of Minerva on Radio Castelldefels, Catalonia.
Your story is worth telling. Maybe you should write it down
Time fizzes and skizzes .... three years today we played a Glasgow Strike Solidarity gig in the Admiral Bar. Belle and Sebastian's Sarah Martin brought her sweet vocals to the line-up, as did Lily Mohaupt when we performed Peat Bog Soldiers. We raised £2000 for striking workers. What a night!
Teaser for a new documentary, Class Wars, which explores the fascistic attacks on education in the US. Here's the teaser, which screened at Sundance yesterday, featuring David being interviewed at The Revelator Wall of Death. If you want to help the film, pass it on! www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4fO...
It’s great to see that our video for Peat Bog Soldiers (Die Moorsoldaten) has clocked up 5000 views on YouTube. The song was first performed in August 1933, in a German concentration camp for leftist political prisoners and it's as relevant today as it was then. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaCK...
First gig announcement for 2026. There will be new tunes!
Happy Birthday to our debut album! Released on 22 November, 2024. Get it in someone's Christmas stocking - and get it straight from our website.

Congratulations to the Village Hotel Strikers who announced on the picket line yesterday that they've secured a major victory on pay and conditions. This is the first British hotel strike in 46 years and it's a historic and significant win for the young workers. They are an inspiration to all of us!
To support their work in Palestine and elsewhere, we'll be playing a fundraising gig for Medecins Sans Frontier in Kinross on Friday 26 September. Many other acts already announced. Come along. Spread the word. www.tickettailor.com/events/kleok...
What a fantastic day at Elder Park Community Festival. It gave us enormous pleasure to invite one of the Village Hotel strikers to the stage; Shakeira spoke eloquently and passionately as she outlined the young workers' case and received a great response. Do what you can to support them!
Many thanks to Luis Rive at Sunny Govan Radion for having our David on his show last night. Played a few tunes, talked about tomorrow's festival and gave a big shout out to the Village Hotel @uniteunion.bsky.social strikers. Tune in! www.mixcloud.com/SunnyG103/pa...
Main stage times for today, if you're coming along. Free entry.
New & Notable: Another subversive spectacular from the Tokyo-based composer, rapper, producer, and poet, left-field pop with a fiery punk spirit.
Yesterday we went along to support the Village Hotel workers - well done to the overwhelmingly young people who are striking. David offered support if there was any moves to organise a fundraiser. Get along to the picket line, or make a donation to the strike fund. All power to the striking workers!
Two weeks tonight, we'll be playing a few songs to mark the release of The Gorgeous Pouting Mr AR's new album! We'll be playing three or four songs alongside the fab acts below. It only holds 100 so get yer tickets while you can!
Another great exhibition at Stephen Skrynka’s amazing wall of death in South Street. One more day to go. Free entry. Worth a visit to see The Revelator alone!
Hollywood was in Glasgow recently and parts of the city were re-imagined as, well, who knows? We wrote Post Production -the first song about Scottish film policy🙂- in part cos these productions can't take the place of cinema being used by people who live here to tell our own tales 📷 Gordon Terris/ET
We had a blast night at Dunoon Burgh Hall. It was the last night of our 'Outwith Glasgow' tour. Thanks to everyone who came along and to those who helped spread the word about the gigs; it's super-appreciated. We spent the morning clearing our heads on the sea-front; thanks to Georgia for the photo!
