I'm enjoying the story and the style otherwise, this is just a bugbear of mine lol
I'm trying not to let the single-sentence paragraphs bother me but they're on almost every page. It dulls their impact and makes for messy typography.
They work best in web writing, where paragraphs are separated by blank lines, not indents, but even there they should be used sparingly imo. 💙📚
