Agreed. But there's also the question of whether or not you can teach ethics - teach it academically, I mean. I don't think intelligent people don't understand what it's all about and why it matters. Instead, at a certain point, they make the active decision not to care on an intimate level.

When we first submitted Wednesdays to Steam, we had to go through a much longer-than-usual validation process. Considering the game's topic (child sexual abuse), we knew they'd be vigilant. But it's the total lack of transparency that makes the process abhorrent. And when it ends like this...

When you get an email from Mailchimp and give a reason for why you unsubscribe, the English version proposes "I did not sign up for this" as a reason, but the French translation for that is "I don't remember signing up for this", and I wonder if that entails Mailchimp considers French people senile.
