The AFN advises any First Nations members traveling to the U.S. to carry valid identification, including a Status Card or a Canadian passport. Anyone requiring assistance with Status Card applications, renewals, replacements, or urgent processing related to travel may contact Indigenous Services Canada’s Secure Certificate of Indian Status (SCIS) Program at 1-800-567-9604 or visit www.canada.ca/indigenous-services-canada. Please note that federal law enforcement may not be familiar with Tribal IDs. If an ICE agent does not accept your Tribal ID as identification, the Native American Rights Fund recommends that you request to speak to their supervisor. In emergency cases, Canadian citizens in the U.S. can contact the Canadian Consulate for assistance through 1-613-996-8885.

A resident in Dovercourt is threatening to because an infill development is being built in her cul-de-sac.
But when we look at the numbers, the area's population has halved in the last 50 years, plenty of parking.
So, probably not
Don’t like rising property taxes? Consider:
- driving less/using transit more (to save our infrastructure)
- welcoming development in your mature neighbourhood (to add rate payers without building new infra)
- buying less from Amazon (they don’t pay taxes to us but use infra)
- going downtown
I *love* this street transformation in Edmonton, Alberta.
I visited it under construction almost two years ago but more progress is visible in Google Street View.

One of the biggest drivers of high housing costs is that a small, highly motivated group of incumbent homeowners block new housing in their neighborhoods and almost no one is organized to push back.
