I'm reminded of what Benoit Blanc said in Glass Onion about how it's dangerous to mistake speaking without thought for speaking the truth here.
Hailey is at 15 percent of her goal. If we can get her to 20 percent soon, she'll be in way better shape to start rebuilding her life.
Even $5 makes a huge difference. The COST OF A POODLE MOCHA. (I'm assuming.)
Please help if you can!
Very excited about this interview. I love when the questions are complex/layered enough that I can really go off.

so pleased to see that star trek academy is getting a second season!
One half of all television is urban fantasy set in a speculative universe in which police serve a positive societal function

Happy birthday @marinalostetter.bsky.social
I've highly enjoyed Marina's work, both with near to far future SF as well as her fantasy. She's a multimodal talent and her books are (mostly) big, phat, and an excellent way to spend your reading time, or your commute or long drive time.
heh. i know, right?
brought to you by an email from the aclu newsletter about texas’s latest anti-drag show law kicking in on the 18th of this month.
ffs, ppl. just let folks live their lives. no one is forcing you to go to a drag show.
yeah, yeah. i’m late to the party re: the cromwell connection

ahh separation of church & state. we had it for a reason
he looks like satan calling down a nuke strike.
so, i guess that fits from their perspective.
Okay I think I forgot to big up this when it came out BUT we have a REALLY GOOD talk and I expound on my "I think every novel should have a giant worm in it" theory which the LITERARY ESTABLISHMENT does not want me to DISCUSS I am being SILENCED
wt ever f?
i adore that movie—specifically the director’s cut which explains why ripley was so attached to newt. rather than the theatrical cut which let everyone assume it was because she was a female, and thus, automatically motherly.
No one has tried to kill Ellie today...so far.
We're delighted to share an excerpt from @johnchu.bsky.social's The Subtle Art of Folding Space, a science fiction story about unhinged physics, generational trauma, and the comfort of really good dim sum!
Y'all are gonna love this book.
I've talked about this here before, but my experience as a journalism instructor is that Grammarly makes students' writing worse. This was true even several years ago, pre-GenAI hype. The mushy, even incoherent sentences it created were what caused me to start warning them off it.
