Can Cam Boozer "pass" the test for the Pacers in transition?

I wrote about Cam Boozer & whether his fast, accurate outlet passing can further advance how the Pacers advance in transition.
Plus, thoughts on the interconnectedness of rebounding and defensive scheme/role.

"The Clippers are betting (figuratively) against the Pacers in the draft lottery, but the Pacers don't have to bet against Mathurin to justify why they traded for Zubac or what they could gain in both wins and lessons from these losses"

I wrote about why the Pacers didn't prove anything (and had nothing to prove) in last night's loss against the Clippers, in which they were torched by Bennedict Mathurin

Before the Pacers lost to the Hornets on Thursday, Rick Carlisle said he thinks Charles Lee is "one of the best young minds" in the game.
On a unique defensive adjustment against SLOB plays, & the potential broader applications for the Pacers

The Pacers lost by 20+ and are 0-5 since the ASB.
Relatedly, I wrote about Darryn Peterson (and also just a bunch of different basketball concepts and how they translate between college/NBA in relation to the Pacers).
He started working with a different trainer. More straight line drives, more contested rebounds, more attempts to seal/exude force. Still needs polish and to have a productive summer, but it’s been better than the first 2.5 seasons of his career.

Hey guys, I transformed briefly into Draft Caitlin.
On my first impressions of Darry Peterson, & whether the Pacers would dare to contend with what made them a contender

Just realized I can't type, apparently.
*Darryn
geez
Sums up my thoughts. I need to see a lot more of the other options before making a firm determination (if I'm much lower on them I might change my mind), but from what I've seen of Peterson, I would be surprised if they drafted him.

That was the point of the piece. I’m doubtful they would contend with what made them a contender: the Haliburton-Nembhard backcourt.
It might, if he can play the three, but the concerns about him/Haliburton needing to occupy the same role on defense would still be present.

New mailbag!
- why keep watching the Pacers?
- reasons not to shutdown Siakam
- Walker doing Siakam things
- expected changes w/ Zubac
- thoughts on TJM-Huff
- why a scouted counter from a '22 LAC-IND game applies to now
- unusual screen slips
- why no gambling ads

She really is a one of one. Learning about her during last years playoff and finals was a small blessing. She’s taught me more about basketball than anyone else

Today marks three years of Basketball, She Wrote.
There's been a lot of highs and, unfortunately, a few lows. I'm still my own harshest critic, but I also still believe that -- similar to the Pacers -- the best may be yet to come.
Thanks to everyone who has supported me this far.
To celebrate today, amid what has been a tough season, with hopefully brighter days ahead, I'm giving away three free annual subscriptions to Basketball, She Wrote.

Wrote about what I noticed from Kobe Brown's first two games with the Pacers, along with other assorted thoughts.

Hey guys, myself & @samsonfolk.bsky.social talked about the Pacers betting big on Ivica Zubac
- How he can enhance Tyrese
- What the change in spacing means for Siakam
- Will the Pacers still play fast?
- Interior friction
- Lots of options at center

I AM HYPED!
And since it’s a Bucks game tonight, I’m ready for some venison (or “deer beef”) Samson. 😉😂
