Woodcraft truly is one of the best things I could've asked for - I now volunteer as an adult leader for the oldest group locally to me, and seeing the kids I worked with on DofE volunteering grow up and stay part of the district is truly a wonderful experience.
Having spent the last 16 years as a Woodcraft Folk member, Phineas is bang on. Marched in my first protest march (the Brexit one) due to Woodies, joined Venturer Committee and helped plan and organise a National V-Camp, met some of my best friends through the organisation.
We've got some big groups up in Scotland, so not just a Southern thing! Not sure we have any Liverpool groups though, would have to check that
