Charging at a Tesla supercharger isn’t free. By spending money to charge your car you have supported them as well.

While layoffs are never a good sign, Air Canada laying off upper management instead lower level employees is a breath of fresh air. Day to day operations won’t be affected because the execs are keeping out of the way of the crucial, hard working folks on the ground (and in the air).

Barger hitting the first ever pinch hitter grand slam in World Series history during the first WS game in Toronto since the 1990s has been a fantastic start to the weekend.

The White House doesn’t get to have it both ways- either they come to the table to find a compromise that will provide relief for struggling Canadian workers, or we tax the tech giants profiting massively from our country without giving anything back. Canadians need help now.

Not only will the DST apply retroactively to bring in money quickly, but companies like Google, Meta, and X currently don’t pay a nickel in tax on revenue generated from Canadians using their digital services.

We gave US tech giants a break on billions of dollars (USD) of potential Canadian tax revenue in a show of good faith to the White House, and they’ve thrown it back in our face. Canadians need support right now, and the DST can help weather the storm.

Trump choosing to end all trade negotiations with Canada means we should reinstate the digital services tax (DST). Canada held off on the 3% DST for 3 months to keep negotiations going, and now the States won’t even come to the table while Canadians are losing jobs because of their tariffs.

What if they had a Temu wrapped that was like a Spotify wrapped but it just reminded you of all the stupid garbage you bought

I see. That’s absolutely a fair point. Perhaps they’re included to make it feel like this policy is about them too and hopefully win back som favour? Even though they don’t necessarily need this help, they may appreciate it? 2 birds one stone kind of deal?

150k also isn’t the problem. Just because some Canadians are doing well for themselves, doesn’t mean they’re the problem. The Jimmy Patisons and Galen Westons are the actual issue. Why are you upset that Canadians are getting a break just because they make more than the average household?
