With the parameters the Glazers and Ineos have stated previously, looking for a head coach and not a manager, I can’t see it being anyone other than Carrick. If they actually wanted a world class manager, I’d be interested in Nagelsman or Enrique.

Most hosts used to have real power to stop skiers and suspend or revoke passes. I only saw mountain hosts over the Xmas break at peak times. I have to be much more aware on the hill these days as I’ve had numerous close calls with out of control skiers or snowboarders.

I’m actually trying to remember how we lined up in the latter part of the season last year. We loaned Rashford, Antony and Sancho, then Amad got injured. Garnacho obviously played on the left but we were pretty barren up front. It’s not a shock Rasmus looked poor.

How much interaction does someone need on any of these platforms? Are they actively seeking engagement or do they just like that their posts are viewed by a certain number of people (who are likely mostly bots anyways)? No doubt he was poor but so was the entire team front to back. Like most strikers, it felt like Rasmus was a confidence player and it seemed like he was never able to find a consistent vein of form.

How are we possibly going to sell Mount?

The fact was Rasmus had to play with some of the most selfish forwards ever to wear a United shirt. It’s impossible to predict how he would have fared this season. I would 100% take him back as a 2nd striker to Sesko next season.

Sesko is showing amazing progression but I’ve never been a fan of elevating one performance while pushing another player down. Do we know that Rasmus wasn’t asking team mates for advice? I highly doubt he chose to be an isolated figure in the dressing room.

Then we’ll need 3 midfielders.

Certainly not more injury prone than the other two but age is a factor as well with Harry being 33 now.
I don’t have a big problem with keeping him. An ambitious club would let his contract expire and replace him with another top class CB but we’re not that club because of the owners.

I think it will inevitably be Carrick. He’s available and therefore cheap, he’s won’t challenge Wilcox and Berrada on decisions and signings like our previous managers and the players really like him (which can be both good and bad if we’re being honest)

I thought DeLigt was our player of the season before he got injured. It’s definitely a worry that he’s struggled so much with his back issue.

Ineos will never do it but maybe it’s time to move Maguire on and replace with a more mobile and less injury prone CB. If we keep Maguire, I can’t see us carrying 6 CB’s going into next season so it will probably stay as it is.

It’s still too soon IMO, but I think Carrick will get the full time role. But whoever the manager is, it doesn’t solve the real problem which is the people above him and the owners.

I think the scope of what we need for this squad is larger than what people are realizing, especially going into Europe next year. There is no possible way we’ll bring in enough support this summer for the demand of the extra games. And it seems most are fine with continually ignore the Jan window.

To be fair, a load of players will be going to their respective international sides at the end of March. But they definitely need to sharpen up as a whole.

They’re also training way less. That has to be part of it as well.

The entire midfield has been wank for the last 3 matches.

Would love it if Villa managed to stay in the top 5 and Liverpool or Chelsea miss out.
