The so-called multilingual perspective on translanguaging suggests that the core question up for debate is whether languages exist. But the question I am more interested in is how languages and the borders between them come to exist. Spoiler alert: colonialism plays a big part in that.

Love that! I attended a super interesting session about incorporating indigenous knowledge in world language classes in #ACTFL. We can start with etymology of words that come from indigenous languages.
