it just doesn't matter to me where anything i like is ranked. & if it did, the ranking would change constantly depending on how i'm feeling, what i want to hear or experience, where i'm at in my life, what's attractive to me, & what doesn't sound good atm

even posting a band's album & being like "this one was their best, fight me" has me asking myself why it matters, or what's the point. if i have a fav, it's because the choice was made FOR me by what feels resonant. i'll get intellectual about it but feelings are what drives my taste

i want to respect ppl's preferences & ways of enjoying things & i know ranking can be satisfying for some. but i generally don't understand the impulse to compare music to other music, or artists to other artists, unless there's some interesting or compelling point being made beyond what's "better"

i REALLY MISS making music videos. i hope to get a few video projects when i'm finished with the mixes i'm currently working on!!
