I’m so enamored of her writing, I can’t put her books down. So stay up way too late reading at night!!! Read House of the Spirits when it was first published and loved it. But then she fell off my radar. So this has been like reconnecting with an old dear friend.

Hmm. I started with My Name is Emilia Del Valle on 11/7/25. Have now read the 7 that came before. Will probably be around 4 months... Also depends on my library. Have had to put some on hold...

I'm still new here. By way of introduction, thought I'd post this video of me seeing the book I have coming out next month for the first time. I'm sure you know this feeling. That moment when something you've labored over for a long time finally arrives. Just wanting to share the love and the joy!

Been slowly making my way through Isabel Allende's entire fiction oeuvre—from her most recent all the way back to House of the Spirits. Never read a writer's work backwards like this before. Highly recommended approach. Currently reading Ripper, which is truly fabulous. 📚💙 #booksky
