The Outer Worlds 2: 8/10

It's a good game to play- but it has so many trappings. I think it's got some of the best compaions and quests related to them, it's very pretty; but it's story somehow misses a lot.

like it's not the new vegas thing of 'you know you're dealing with a bad situation', it's 'if you don't have speech at 20, you have no shot at getting the best ending.'

it's why I think a lot of these games post-3/NV fail a lot: they love to hit you with a like, 'ah but see if you didn't follow these specific steps, know to get the best ending you need 20 speech, all these datapads, knowing your speech options might negatively affect things somehow'

I think Outer Worlds 2 has two major flaws; 'no respec' and 'unless you tightly follow a guide beyond belief, you are gonna have a kind of shitty ending.'

i wish people wouldn't just spoil things I want to watch repeatedly.
