swallowed my pride and watched tutorials & walkthroughs and now I'm very much enjoying the game. It's not as consistent as the 1st & that 2nd half of act 1 is a slog but after I got past it it's been incredible
reinforce the themes and story, but if you make a game designed to tell me "no" and designed to disappoint, underwhelm, and bore me then maybe your game isn't worth my time? It's interesting art to talk about but I'm not really finding it interesting to experience most of the time
Kind of feeling like putting it down for a while or just giving up cause god damn is it boring. A game doesn't have to be all high adrenaline all the time but most of the systems and level design seem to be mostly time wasters designed to tell you "no". I get that it's systems and gameplay-
I really enjoyed hollow knight too & just finished it. I feel like there's just sooo much unnecessary bs in the sequel tho. The underpowered and underwhelming tools, the combat arenas with just a lot of uninteresting normal enemies, the runbacks, the two trivial currencies.
Anyone else just not having fun with silksong? Every time I pick up the game I feel like I spend 80% of my time backtracking to do the mostly underwhelming side/fetch quests or running back to boss arenas after dying. Feels like the game is designed to make me optimize all the fun out of it :/
