When I was 13 he was pretty much the gateway to β€˜grown up’ movies after a diet of Amblin and Spielberg. I still remember that January 31 1991 is when Wild At Heart came out on video because I was counting down the days.

I used to do the same with by best friend! We’d walk around the playing field at break and discuss the previous night’s episode. When The Return aired we always watched it together.

The Eraserhead quad poster hangs on my wall so beyond gutted about this. How can we have a world without Lynch? So jealous you have all of Twin Peak to devour. The newest series was a stunning swan song.

This reminded me I had an American Ninja 2 poster on my bedroom wall in about 1988. Still never seen it…

Opinion | The Best Movie About Israel and Gaza Now Came Out 18 Years Ago Steven Spielberg’s β€œMunich” was considered by many to be a flop in 2005. But its examination of the moral toll of vengeance couldn’t feel more relevant.

Steven Spielberg's Munich, based on Tony's first movie screenplay, opened 18 years ago today. I'm very proud of his work on it, and I love this essay by Lisa Schwarzbaum, which will run in Sunday's New York Times Opinion section, on its sorrowful resonance in 2023. www.nytimes.com/2023/12/23/o...
