I love CSS folks. They are soldiers of joy and delight. The world is burning and AI debates have people at each others throats and CSS peeps keep being like β€œcheck out this dancing turtle I made out of divs πŸ₯°β€

If you're having a bad day, you can search for "soruce" on Github and on your favorite open source projects.

πŸ“Ί Video of my talk at CSS Day is up! It covers how to reduce climate impact at work (if you work in tech)

Glad you enjoyed it! There are not many resources besides from the specification (drafts.csswg.org/css-forms-1) available at this time.

Stay tuned for more updates, we'll likely write a couple of blog posts over the coming months as things unroll!

Form control styling - Tim Nguyen - CSS Day 2025
YouTube video by Web Conferences Amsterdam Form control styling - Tim Nguyen - CSS Day 2025

If you code websites, then you KNOW how it’s been to style form controls.

Watch this #cssday talk from @ntim.bsky.social to learn why it’s been so hard, and how we are going to fix it for the future.

Google AI overview saying nonsense:

No, Xcode 26 cannot be used on macOS 15.5. Xcode 26 specifically requires macOS Sequoia 15.4 or later. macOS 15.5 is not supported.
Here's why:
* Xcode 26 requires macOS Sequoia 15.4 or later:
The official Xcode 26 release notes clearly state this requirement.
* macOS 15.5 is not supported by Xcode 26:
While Xcode 26 supports macOS Sequoia, it does not support all versions of it. Specifically, it requires 15.4 or later.
* Older Xcode versions may work on newer macOS:
It's possible to run older versions of Xcode (like 15.4) on macOS Sequoia 15.5, but this might not be ideal for development with the latest features and SDKs.
* Downloading older Xcode versions:
If you need to use an older Xcode version for compatibility reasons, you can download it from the Apple Developer Center.

The CSS Day 2025 photos are up at cssday.nl/2025/pix/pho...

The interface is still a bit basic, but the photos are there for your downloading pleasure, especially if you had a team photo taken.

I love #CSSDay. It brings together so many of the CSS Working Group to share talks on the newest CSS features being worked on!

If it wasn't for this conference, I never would have had the encouragement to join the working group last year. A huge privilege to be alongside these incredible people.

CSS Form Control Styling Level 1

Styling HTML form controls is something web designers & developers have wanted for years! My team is working on a solution β€” apply `appearance: base` and switch to a new interoperable consistent default control. Then override it using new pseudo-elements. See the details: drafts.csswg.org/css-forms/
