NEWCON Pr.23700 rescue support vessel “Voevoda” commissioned into the Russian SAR Service ORBAT following a ceremony at Yantar shipyard, 2 March 2026.

⚠️Originally built for GUGI, but transferred to SAR Service duty, Voevoda should be regarded as dual role.

Given the timeframe, Pretty sure the French CSG will go direct to Malmo via Helsingborg rather than via GBB.

This is either a genuine problem which will be resolved or the Danish government are reacting to circumvent ”OSINT” reporting.

⚠️Units will enter NSEA early AM 23 February ENR their respective home ports.

Unless Russia adopts a convoy system for the Shadow Fleet, this is merely signalling & very much an aspiration.

Limited numbers of credible platforms, poor availability & sustainability, limited basing, logistics & platform resilience coupled with standing commitments suggest otherwise.

I wonder why Governments & private companies spend billions on bespoke survey vessels & equipment when according to some social media & intelligence “experts” their role can be accomplished by RO-ROs, VLCCs or even yachts.
