I have spent the past two days at work doing a task that has involved listening to trauma and distress. I have no formal training in how to deal with this and I am a wreck tonight. I hope I’ve been some help to the people concerned

I’m so sad about the Voice result. I expressed that on the x place and I’m drowning in racist comments. That place is dead to me

Renters rarely find justice but now perhaps they might find some tiny revenge | First Dog on the Moo... Did you know renters are mostly powerless when it comes to exercising their rights?

Attention renters! The fabulous MrPingers has some good news for you - sort of. A cartoon. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Embracing my fatness because I am fat and I am happy

I'm poor, but I'm kind
I'm short, but I'm healthy, yeah
I'm high, but I'm grounded
I'm sane, because I take my pills
I'm lost, but I'm hopeful, baby

'Cause I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is givin' a high five🎢

I participated in a Djandak Wi (Country Fire) burn today with Djaara custodians in Bendigo today. It was wonderful to have the chance to learn about fire from a traditional owner perspective. Really sensitive and intuitive way of putting fire into the landscape.

I posted the quoted comment below on the Elon site, much racist response. What does Bluesky think? β€˜I think there is a misunderstanding about the Welcome to Country. It’s not welcoming you to Australia, it is welcoming you to the particular land you are on and it is generous and welcoming’

Photo of my white lady arm displaying my Apple Watch, which is telling me I should stand up and move a little for one minute. Beneath my arm you can see my fluffy white cat Francie all curled up and blissfully asleep in my lap.

Why can’t this thing tell when I have a cat on my lap.

A view from the footpath looking into the entrance to St Kilda railway station from beyond the end of the line. Above the entrance is a yellow panel with black block lettering saying 'NEXT TRAIN FOR MELBOURNE" and to the right of the lettering is a circular analogue clockface with lettering curving above it saying "STARTS AT". The hands of the clock are set to eleven minutes to three. To the left is a storefront built into the station with curtains behind two windows containing gold lettering saying Hotel Brokers (left panel) and Hotel Auctioneers (right panel). (BTW What's a hotel auctioneer?) Directly beneath the Next Train departure sign is a metal station gate that is closed. Behind that is a station platform that is dark because it is beneath an overall roof, and just visible at the platform is a Grey Ghost electric train awaiting departure for Flinders Street.

Today's historic pic: Two weeks before the line closed, a Grey Ghost Harris train is visible beneath the roof at the platform as the analogue train departure clock tells us that the Next Train for Melbourne Starts at eleven minutes to three at the railway station at St Kilda, Vic, July 12 1987.
