01.12.2025 22:54 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Annual Geneva training was mandatory for everyone in uniform, you couldn't deploy without it. Now Hegseth orders executions of survivors and keeps his job. Either they stopped teaching it, or leadership decided laws of war don't apply to them. My money's on the latter.
01.12.2025 22:54 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0War crimes in Venezuela, vaccine restrictions from RFK Jr. cherry picking data, college students deported in defiance of courts, and Congress won't act because country clubs matter more than oaths. 01.12.2025 22:52 โ ๐ 16 ๐ 7 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I treated enemy combatants with more humanity in a war zone than Hegseth showed to survivors of his own attack. I followed the Geneva Conventions. Raised concerns about the legality of these strikes with Hegseth.
Offered to resign during a tense October 6 meeting with Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs
SOUTHCOM was concerned the operations were not lawful. Retired in December for following the law.
Multiple current/former military lawyers say strikes are unlawful
Targeting wounded/survivors violates Geneva Conventions
UK stopped sharing intelligence because they believe strikes are illegal
Bipartisan lawmakers including GOP Rep. Mike Turner say it could be a war crime
Former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta: "no question" it was a war crime
Follow below here are the facts:
September 2, 2025: Pete Hegseth gave a verbal "kill everybody" order before the first Caribbean boat strike. 1st strike left 2 survivors clinging to wreckage in the water. 2nd strike ordered specifically to kill those survivors they were "blown apart in the water.
Hegseth ordered "kill everybody" SEALs executed survivors clinging to wreckage. Admiral Holsey knew it was illegal, offered resignation rather than comply. Geneva Conventions exist for this exact scenario: you don't murder the wounded. War crimes have consequences. Except, apparently, for Hegseth.
