We are treated as contract workers or small business owners without being able to charge the necessary fees to cover overheads and administrative support. Doctors have to pay rent and staff out of the OHIP fee. This fee has not kept pace with inflation. Who would want to open a GP office these days?

Poilievre & the MAGA CONS have been criticized for attacking scientists & research by pledging to cut funding for projects they label as influenced by woke ideology. This approach is seen as a threat to academic freedom & scientific integrity. Similar tactics used by far-right movements in the US.
Canada take note. They are doing the same thing here. This is how they will try and make us the 51st state. We have our extreme right wing people who would collude with the US to bring fascist government here. Book banning and anti-vaccine sentiment is already with us.
It was individual boycotts that produced these numbers. These must continue. In addition, increasing and allying our defense spending with European companies, hurts the powerful US military/ finance complex. Europe is already doing this.
This is how we retaliate and stand up to the bully.
They weren't working anyway. And Canada and China were the only countries to put on retaliatory tariffs. Other countries waited to see and realized like Canada now has, that nothing works dealing with an impulsive creature of base instincts except trying to limit the damage. This is where we are.
Finally Canada is getting some independent vaccine supply. It is a start so let us keep going and while we are at it, transfer mRNA research next . We can become leaders in cancer treatment.
