As a writer, I strive to always relfect our world somehow, esp in fantasy and sci fi. In Kipo, I wrote about a fictional dystopian Los Angeles that LGBTQ+ kids are very much a part of, bc it reflects the real LA we based it on. LGBTQ+ kids exist. Trans kids exist. That shouldn't be controversial.

We can win. We will win.

The union was declared at my workplace. Management has recognized the union.

It was over a year of work. I am over the moon.

Anyone who votes to end birthright citizenship as it is understood now, in defiance of clear law and the tradition they claim to value?

They are voting to create a permanent underclass of rightness, stateless people in the United States. They are voting to bring back slavery.

But the question of whether we can MacGyver around the constitutional framework we have to make them less relevant is different from the question of whether they need to be prosecuted for crimes against humanity.

To be clear: I already believe that the Roberts court lacks legitimacy, and that enough members of the court have engaged in open corruption that none of its opinions should be given precedential authority.

They have already twisted the fourteenth amendment past the point of breaking, and I think there are people who think, what's one more twist?

But it is a huge twist.

And that means that the thing we must change cannot merely be the law or the Constitution, but must include the administration thereof.

If they let this go, in service to this tyrannical fascist and the horrible fascism that is gripping this nation, they are saying that all of the high and mighty solutions they proclaim we have do not exist, so long as they are in charge.

Every time SCOTUS has taken a right away, they've spoken all high and mighty about well, pass laws, or well, amend the Constitution.

We fucking did that.

We fought the bloodiest civil war this country has ever seen for birthright citizenship. We amended the Constitution. We have all understood what that amendment meant--from the moment it was debated in Congress to this moment now.

There is no measured way to say what I am about to say.

If the Supreme Court agrees with the Trump administration to end birthright citizenship, we must end this current Supreme Court.

I do not say this lightly.
