My father only learned his name was mixed up because they put the wrong names on the lines when he joined the military and they told him he wasn't legally who he had grown up being.
These things happen.
I already know of several intersex people who do not identify as trans or GNC who are running into issues after a lifetime of seeing themselves as cis or "normal except for that thing I was born with and corrected." They didn't realise the fight included them. They do now.
As there is no difference in such certificates for clerical errors, intersex conditions, or folks who identify as trans, is Kansas just gonna fuck over cis people whose hospitals of states fucked up decades ago?

My sex assigned at birth is female. That's what my birth certificate says, and Illinois will tell you to pound sand if you try to assert previous documents as correct.
Update/Scoop— New guidance sent this AM to Kansas DMVs indicates licenses that previously had gender marker changed not actually invalid yet. However, internally DMV can see who is flagged, and keeping track of who has/hasn't come in to update. Seems about 300 trans/GNC ppl flagged across the state.
