for sure. I went through their account and they’re mutuals w people who do nsfw in a clear lolishota artstyle + nsfw furry art so ? Why the fuck are they making call out posts ? I could have hit back and accused them of something MUCH worse using their logic. Like come on.

It was nice to see that clearly no one agreed with them but it’s just insane that people feel confident enough to do it at all and KEEP the post up

The problem is the art wasn’t romantic ToT it was a drawing of ace holding up an acrylic charm for a merch collab. He’s holding up a charm of himself too! Ppl can have their opinion on the ship, but attacking ppl over smth harmless is crazy. I agree w you, block and move on if you don’t like smth

Sheesh D: it’s scary how many ppl have told me they knew this person. They were dming my clients telling them not to commission me a week ago so they’ve been at it for months. you can’t just accuse people of incest because you don’t like a harmless platonic drawing of ppl who aren’t even related

It’s just hard bc what do you do when these people keep taking it further and further. Making posts about it and dming your clients and it just gets worse and worse :(

YES that scared me. Things were already bad w normies joining during Covid + the rise of conservatism. commodification of fandom is gonna destroy it. Had someone recently make a whole callout post about me exclusively because they felt my art style had ‘incesty vibes’. No other reason. No evidence.

I’ve never felt this bad before. The last few months I’ve barely seen anything positive just people harassing others and being nasty and people being nasty to me too

rise in conservatism + illiteracy rates + the commercialisation of fandom. they think they’re being activists and ‘protecting’ these poor defenceless cartoons. I had a bitch make a callout post abt me recently because my “art style has incesty vibes’. Zero proof just illiteracy.

I tried that but in my experience most ppl just don’t reply at all .-. So it felt hard to motivate myself to keep interacting when I never got a response. Maybe I’m doing smth wrong tbh I dunno! I always reply to comments and messages and stuff when I get them tho

Me too :/ I’ve just been absolutely miserable lately. Every time I post I’m wondering if I’m going to get attacked because someone doesn’t like the ‘vibes’ and decides I’m ’problematic’. I’ve had more negativity thrown at me recently than I have in SO long it’s made it hard to even want to draw

I have never felt worse and more anxious about being in fandom than I have over the last few months. The level of conservatism is so scary I feel like I’m walking on egg shells.

In my experience it’s 7 days, and you have to log out completely. No interacting. It’s fucking ridiculous but at least so far after 7 days it’s cleared up for me :/

If you're doing callout posts about artists creating fictional taboo content, you may not consider yourself a fascist, but you are one. You are their stupid tool at the bare minimum. The good news is you can stop doing that at any time
